There will be no women's ministry activities this week due to the Ash Wednesday service. Please make plans to attend the service this Wednesday, February 17th at 7pm.

Women's Ministry activties will resume next week with the Women's Book Club.

Coffee Talk

This Wednesday night, we will begin a new women's ministry event called "Coffee Talk". It will be held the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm.

We will enjoy coffee, tea and some sweet treats! Typically, we will have some discussion over a particular topic or questions. This Wednesday, we are going to assemble the kits to send to Haiti.

We hope that you can come this Wednesday to fellowship and help with a good cause!

This Wednesday's Women's Ministry activity is the Women's Book Club.

Come ready to discuss the last two books we have read. If you didn't read these two books, but would like to be involved on the new book, we hope you will come and join us.

Each month we select a book to read as a group and then meet back the following month to discuss it.

Be sure to take a look at the Women's Ministry board in the Narthex! Have a wonderful week...

Thank you to all of the women for a wonderful Christmas party! We even had a visit from Santa and his elf. He said we have all been "Nice" this year...

This is the week of Operation Rowlett Reindeer. Help is needed every night so anything you can do would be greatly appreciated!! Also, they are asking for snacks and cookies if you are able to contribute to that as well.

If you were unable to attend the Christmas and you want to particpate in Secret Sister - let Riley Ussery know!

Wednesday, December 9th at 7pm - "Women of the Bible" study
This week, we will be learning more about Lot's wife.

Thursday, December 10th at 7pm - Women's Christmas Party
ALL WOMEN are invited to attend. Please bring a snack or finger food to share and a wrapped ornament for the ornament exchange. Also, if you have a Secret Sister, bring a gift to reveal yourself to her and we will redraw for 2010.

This Wednesday, December 2nd we will have our next DVD study. This week's DVD is led by Kay Arthur entitled "A Marriage Without Regret". Come and see what Kay has to say about our marriages!

Also, mark your calendars for the Women's Ministry Christmas Party - Thursday, December 10th at 7pm. Bring a wrapped ornament to exchange, a gift to reveal to your secret sister and a snack or dish to share. It will be a night full of holiday fun and fellowship.

One more note...the accordion scrapbook class that was scheduled for this Saturday, December 5th has been cancelled and will be rescheduled next year due to scheduling conflicts and very few sign-ups.

Wednesday, November 18th will be "Outreach Night" for the women. Please come at 7pm and help with an outreach project.

Friday night is CRAFT NIGHT at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your craft supplies and holiday projects or just come and visit with us crafters.

DVD Series

This Wednesday, November 4th is the next DVD in the "Extraordinary Women" DVD series. This week's topic is "Ministry According to Jesus" lead by Jill Briscoe. Gifted with wisdom, discernment and a bit of English humor, Jill shows a woman how to listen for, and respond, to God's call in her life.

Women's Book Club

OUTREACH NIGHT

Women...we will meet this Wednesday, October 21st at 7pm to participate in an outreach opportunity. This is a chance once a month to assist in a project that will give back to others. The activity will vary from month to month.

Retreat Rescheduled!

There are two opportunities for women to get involved this week...

Wednesday, October 7th at 7pm - Extraordinary Women DVD series
The first DVD is entitled "A Woman's Prayer Life" and is presented by Beth Moore. The DVD lasts about an hour and then a short discussion will follow. There will be a handout that goes along with the DVD for your reference and further study.

Saturday, October 10th at 9am - 3pm - Women's Retreat "Sweet Life Cafe"
The cost is $15 and will be held at Spring Hill Retreat Center. It will be a wonderful time and a great way to spend a Saturday with our Lord and our sisters-in-Christ.

Please make plans to attend...we want ALL women to be involved in the life of the church!

FELLOWSHIP NIGHT

When there is a 5th Wednesday in the month, the women will meet for a "Fellowship Night". This may involve a variety of things, but it is important to have fellowship time with one another.

Please meet at 7pm at the church this Wednesday, September 30th for a time of fellowship with other women in the church.

Her Dad suffered a heart attack - he needs our prayers as does Dianne. There are not many details at this time, but let us all pray for this situation.

Tonight - Women's Bible Study

Tonight (Wed - 9/9) begins the women's Bible study called "Women of the Bible". It will begin at 7pm and will meet one Wednesday a month.

FCC ROWLETT Sisters in Christ - how awesome is this?!

We now have our own web page/blog page for the women of our church. This will be a place to view announcements, dates, events, pictures, prayers, scripture, questions, helpful tips...you name it - the sky is the limit!

Please take a minute to view the side bar on the right. You will see our mission statement for the women at FCC Rowlett, a list of upcoming events, a place to contact for prayer requests that will be posted for all to pray for, a link to the church website...and more to come!

Please take a minute to bookmark this page or add it to your favorites so that you can check this website from time to time. It will be updated as there are things to tell you about.
